So I found this recipe for homemade laundry soap, it is suppose to work as well as Tide or better and way cheaper, someone said for a family of four with this recipe they spend about $2.00 a MONTH! I will let you know how it works. Also I read that you can use white distilled vinegar for fabric softener, just fill up your fabric softener dispenser on the washer with it. When the clothes are dry they are super soft and don't smell like vinegar, it also doesn't leave a wax on your clothes like store bought fabric softener.

Will you share the laundry soap mixture? Also I used to use vinegar but it made my family itch. You new home looks great, you have done a lot of work on it.
